Operation Christmas Child
Co-Director: Leah Turnbaugh

Operation Christmas Child is a nation-wide ministry initiataed by Samaritan's Purse.  At Christmas time the boxes will be delivered to children around the world who will otherwise not have a Christmas gift.  These children will receive a shoebox-full of small toys and other items they might not have like a toothbrush, bar of soap, washcloth, etc. Also included in the shoebox is an introduction to who Jesus is and why Christmas is a Celebration.  Most of the children who will receive the shoeboxes have never heard of Jesus.

FBC has participated in Operation Christmas Child for the past several years.  Co-Directors are Leah Turnbaugh and Darcella Breuer.  They ambitiously set and achieved a goal of 150 shoeboxes in 2015 and have set the goal for 2016 at 200 completed boxes.

FBC's children are encouraged to get involved!  The photo to the right shows three young ladies from the very first year that FBC participated in Operation Christmas Child as a part of Bethel Baptist Association's efforts to fill shoeboxes.
